Hair Studio Policies

Online Bookings

All online bookings made via our portal are booking requests only. Following from there, you will receive a follow up message that your appointment has been confirmed or declined.

Deposits
Non-refundable deposits from $35 are taken with all bookings. This is deducted of the total costs of the day and taken via email to secure your appoitment time at the time of booking. Deposits are due at the time of booking. If deposits arent paid within 48 hours of your appointment being made, your appointment will be immediately cancelled.

Cancelations
All client bookings cancelled or rescheduled sooner occur the following fees;
Bookings cancelled or rescheduled 48-24 hours before you appointment occur a $100 fee.
Bookings cancelled or rescheduled 24 – 12 hours before you appointment occur a $200 fee.
Bookings cancelled or rescheduled 12 hours before you appointment occur the full service cost.

You will be required to place a new deposit to make another booking. Cancellation fee must be paid within 24 hours, every additional 24 hours fee is unpaid, fee will increase by $10 increments. In the event that a client fails to make fees, the matter will be passed on to an external debt-collection agency for recovery.

No Shows
We try to be as reasonable as possible however we do require thr full service cost for all appointments not shown up for. After three no show appointments unfortunately we will make the decision case by case to rebook.

Refund and Redo
All services are non-refundable but we are happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge. The service must be at the fault of the service provider, not something you might have changed your mind about (after the service has been performed) or a previously agreed realistic outcome. You have 48 hours to contact us after your service to receive a complementary service to adjust any dissatisfaction. Corrective services will not be allowed 5 days past the initial service date. Please keep in mind, the previous use of box colour, or going from darker to lighter tones may result in more than one service to achieve you desired result.
If you have altered or changed your hair by professional or at home means in the space of the 5 days, this automatically voids our policy.

Box/Home Dye
Clients are obligated to inform us of any box/home colours used in your hair within the last 10 years. Failure to do so will invalidate our refund and redo policy. The use of these products may cause chemical reactions to some professional products and act in unpredictable ways which may cause damage to the hair. In the event this occurs the service will be stopped immediately and client will still be required to pay the full cost of (chemical only) services booked for.

Clothing
We recommend to all clients that knowing you are coming into an enviroment using chemicals that you wear something appropriate. All hair and beauty services preformed by The Society & Co carry the risk of possibly soiling clothing and we are not held responsible fro any damaged to garmets. Please avoid all hoodies and turtlenecks to hair appointments, as you will be asked to change!
 
Surcharge
Eftpos transactions will be liable for a 2.1% processing fee on all instore transactions.
Afterpay transactions will be liable for a 5% processing fee on all instore transactions.

Privacy Policy
The Society & Co diligently monitors the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and ensures compliance to all relevant legislative and moral requirements by instilling discipline in all aspects of the business.
The Society & Co’s objective is to protect and maintain the privacy and security of all personal information gathered in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. The Privacy Act contains a set of standards for the handling of personal information of it’s clients known as the National Privacy Principles (NPP’s). Personal information collected by The Society & Co generally comprises of name, address, occupation, contact details, birth month and year, client recommendation details and certain financial information.
The National Privacy Principles require The Society & Co not to store personal information longer than necessary. We are committed to the privacy and protection of your information and should you require any further information, please contact us on 0412 393 734

This Agreement governs the basis upon which The Society and Co provides the Services to its Customers.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement, understanding and arrangement (express and implied) between The Society and Co and its Customers.

The Society and Co may assign or share this Agreement to a third party without a Customer’s consent.
The Customer agrees that these terms and conditions shall be constructed and governed by the laws of South Australia and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia. Company (referred to as either “The Company”, “Us”, “We” “Our” in this agreement) refers to the The Society and Co ABN 93140751183
The Society and Co 24/7 tanning is accomplished by the application of a solution containing the active ingredient DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) which is approved by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and is regarded as safe to use for the external application to the skin.

The Society and Co will monitor Customers at the Premises via 24/7 video surveillance. This is in the common, reception and outside areas only; the service rooms are private and not subject to any kind of surveillance. The Society and Co diligently monitors the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and ensures compliance to all relevant legislative and moral requirements by instilling discipline in all aspects of the business. Membership entitles a Member to enter the Premises and use the services at times and have use of reception and tanning room. Any attempt to access the Salon premises outside of salon hours may result in immediate suspension or membership.

Every Member agrees to abide by the rules of conduct, behaviour, equipment usage and use of services. Any behaviour deemed unacceptable could result in suspension or termination of membership, reporting to relevant authorities and The Society and Co maintain the right to recoup the cost of any damage incurred due to the behaviour of a member or any guest they have present. I will not tamper with the tanning device and I understand that tampering with The Society and Co device or moving or breaking any property from the premises will be considered deliberate sabotage of the business machinery and will be punishable by law and for any loss of business. Members acknowledge that the instructions have been provided and explained to them by way of an induction video as displayed at the Premises or per the The Society and Co website and social media platforms. The customer will comply with all instructions for proper use of the The Society and Co spray tan services. I am using these services at my own discretion. I hereby relieve and hold them harmless from any liability involved in the use of tanning process.

The customer has the sole responsibility for protecting the confidentiality of their password and/or email address. Use of your password by any other person will result in the immediate cancellation of the Services. I understand that tanning memberships are sold on a per person basis and are not sharable or transferable to another person. If a membership is used by anyone other than the authorised member, the use of that service will incur a cost to the member of $250 and the remainder of the membership may be terminated without reimbursement.
Any reference to ‘Customer’ or ‘Member’ is also applicable to any guest they bring to the premises. One guest per person is permitted to enter the reception area only and under no circumstances may enter the tan rooms, either with or without the customer, this is applicable to all persons excluding children under the age of 12. The Customer accepts full responsibility for any guest they bring on to the premises and guests are subject to all Conditions of Entry to the Premises per terms of this Agreement. If you or a guest cause damage to the Premises, any property on the premises, they will be liable on a full replacement, any loss, damage, repair, replacement or compensation costs (including legal costs). I assume all risks associated with the said entry and release any indemnity given by me and my assumption of risk also includes a release and indemnity given by me and assumption of risk with respect to any guest entering the Premises with or without me and if I am a Member, any person I have allowed Unauthorised Entry to the Premises.

WARNING: This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. A The Tan Society and Co Sunless Australia tan will not prevent your skin from burning in the natural sun or in a tanning bed. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while UV tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin.

The Society and Co Sunless Australia spray tanning solution which includes a cosmetic bronzer is water soluble and will be removed after the next wash in cold water. However, In some instances, the DHA in the tanning solution may permanently stain undergarments worn during and after the spray session, The Society hold no responsibility.

Members may make a request to The  Society and Co to put a temporary hold on their Weekly Membership for a period of up to 2 weeks during any given calendar year. Membership holds must be made via email at info@penfoldcorp.com.au and no sooner than 14 days before the start date of hold. This hold will result in a paused payment and access to the premises and services being suspended during the hold period.

The Society and Co booth is designed to provide as even a tan as possible. However, users will be different heights and shapes, and may stand in different positions. It is possible you will find some areas of your tan lighter than others. We have a touch up station available in your private room and In most cases, these differences are minor and disappear as your tan fades naturally. More than one The Society and Co tanning session per 24 hours is not recommended.

Customers agree that any photographs or videos taken at the premises, or any photographs or videos tagging The  Society and Co or sent to The Society and Co via any method, whether or not they are taken at the premises, may be used by  for social media and website marketing purposes.

Copyright and Intellectual Property
The Website, the Services and all of the related products of The Society and Co. are subject to copyright. The material on the Website is protected by copyright under the laws of Australia and through international treaties. Unless otherwise indicated, all rights (including copyright) in the Services and compilation of the Website (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, video images, audio clips, Website code, scripts, design elements and interactive features) or the Services are owned or controlled for these purposes, and are reserved by The Society Co. or its contributors.

Membership Fees are to be paid in advance and in full by way of a direct debit instalment arrangement (bank or credit card), upon a Customer’s entry into (or renewal including Automatic Renewal) of this Agreement. If a membership fee is not paid in full, The Society and Co may immediately block access to any premises and deactivate a Member’s Key Fob for non-payment of Membership until such time as all owed amounts are paid in full. Customers who wish to cancel their membership can do so by contacting The Society and Co via email at info@penfoldcorp.com.au with a minimum cancellation period of 4 weeks shall apply. At the time of termination of membership, members are responsible for cancelling direct debit facilities in respect of their Membership. All fees owing must be paid in full. Failure to do so will initiate fees to be covered by an external debt collection agency at the cost of the client. Membership fees will still be applicable and owed during this cancellation period, refunds will not be given. If your key fob is not returned within 7 days of requesting membership termination, or if it is damaged or unusable, the customer will be liable for a Fob Replacement Fee of $80. Payment of Membership Fees is a legal binding and essential term of this Agreement.

There are no restrictions in Australia regarding DHA (the active ingredient in sunless spray tanning) for external application to the skin, however for misting applications, we recommend to use the disposable protective measures to prevent eye contact, inhalation or ingestion. To ensure complete protection, we suggest wearing protective eyewear or closing the eyes, using a nose filters, ear plugs, lip balm and undergarments. All of the components of the tanning solutions used by The Society and Co  have been used in cosmetics have proven to be safe for the skin. If you have ever had any adverse effects utilising self-tanning products, cosmetics, moisturisers, consult a healthcare professional prior to services. If you have any history of asthma or a respiratory condition consult a physician before spray tanning and do not use if you have had any past allergic reactions to DHA products.

Customers voluntarily enter the Premises and voluntarily use the services. The salons and their agents or employees are not liable for any injury or illness Customers acknowledge that the facilities include wet areas; and products and equipment are provided which may carry risk and by entering into this Agreement, Customers accept any and all risks of injury, damage or death arising to the Customer or to the Customer’s guest or to any person who has gained Unauthorised Entry to the Premises as a direct or indirect consequence of the Customer’s entry on the Premises or use of the services arising as a direct or indirect consequence of my entry to the Premises or use of the services and I release, discharge, waive and agree not to bring about any legal action or claim to The Society and Co and its Associated Entities from any and all liability for loss or damage, and any claim or demands on account of any injury to me, any guest of mine or to anyone I have allowed Unauthorised Entry to property as a result of entry to the Premises

The Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any dispute, controversy, proceeding or claim of whatever nature arising out of or in any way relating to the Terms and the rights created hereby shall be governed, interpreted and construed by, under and pursuant to the laws of South Australia, Australia, without reference to conflict of law principles, notwithstanding mandatory rules. The validity of this governing law clause is not contested. The Terms shall be binding to the benefit of the parties hereto and their successors and assigns.

The Society and Co also reserves the right to amend this Agreement or any rules or directions at any time without notice. we recommend you keep a up to date copy of the Terms for your records.
